For those of you that do not know much about me I will give you a quick introduction. I am a big sister to my brother who has severe autism. He is the best brother in the whole world, we are BFF’s! I am always looking for fun things that he would enjoy doing. One of his favorite things is being festive for EVERY holiday! <3
My brother Kyle and I had the best time decorating these sugar cookies that were pre-made and shaped from Haggen! All we had to do was the fun part, decorate them! These are not gluten free but I didn’t mind at all, that just means more for Kyle to eat!
Kyle loves the chocolate chip cookies from the bakery at Haggen’s so I went to pick him up some cookies. When I was looking for them I came across these super cute sugar cookies shaped like an egg, a bunny, and a chick in an egg. I knew Kyle would LOVE decorating these. We get super festive for every holiday!
So I ended up buying the pack of cookies. It comes with 9 sugar cookies. Then I went down the baking aisle and got purple and green frosting that came with sprinkles. I also got white sparkle icing that I used to do some more detailed decorating. It did not cost much at all and we had so much fun!
To keep the mess down we just used plates while we frosted the cookies then put them all on one big plate when they were done being decorated. Sometimes you never know with Kyle if frosting will fly across the room but he is so great at keeping it a mess free project!
If you have little kids or even big kids, I think this is so fun to do! It gets you in the Easter spirit and then you get a yummy desert for later! I know Haggen does these special sugar cookies for most holidays. Kyle and I have gotten Christmas and Halloween cookies to decorate before as well.
I would think that most Haggen stores have these cookies. I got ours from the Haggen in Marysville just off the Freeway on 88th Street!
